So the Walton's are tied at #7, each with a net worth of $16,500,000,000. That is combined net worth of $82.5 billion. Bill and Melinda Gates are worth $40.7, and Warren Buffett is worth $30.5 billion . So why do I hate the Waltons so fricken much ?

1) Care to guess who paid over a 1/2 million to get the estate tax repealed and which people campaigned for the estate tax ?

I said I could not believe that men committed to equality and civil rights were still challenging the basic rights of women. I thought about all the photo-ops at which President Bush had signed legislation limiting abortion rights, surrounded by 10 or so white, self-righteous married men, who have forced God knows how many girlfriends into doing God knows what. I thought of the time Bush appeared on stage with children born from frozen embryos, children he calls "snowflake babies," and of the embryos themselves, which he calls the youngest and most vulnerable Americans.

And somehow, as I was answering, I got louder and maybe even more emphatic than I actually felt, and said it was not a morally ambiguous issue for me at all. I said that fetuses are not babies yet; that there was actually a real difference between pro-abortion people, like me, and Klaus Barbie.

Then I said that a woman's right to choose was nobody else's goddamn business. This got their attention.

I don't really know where I stand on abortion, both sides making compelling arguements. What I can tell you is it doesn't fricken matter what I think, it truly is non of my goddam business.

George Deutsch resigned yesterday. He was a 24 year old Krony running NASA's public affairs office, who just happened to intern on Bush's 2004 presidential campaign. Wow, big surprise, a campaign Klown reassigned to a very influential position.

Anyways, he was the Klown responsible for trying to silence NASA climate expert James Hansen and insisting that all NASA reports add the word 'theory' after all instances of 'Big Bang'.

In an email from Deutsch to a contractor making web presentations for NASA, Deutsch concludes, the Big Bang is

"not proven fact; it is opinion... It is not NASA's place, nor should it be to make a declaration such as this about the existence of the universe that discounts intelligent design by a creator."

A law requiring companies with over 10,000 employees to spend 8% of their payroll on health insurance or give the difference to Maryland's Medicaid program was passed. California's university system is being sued by a religious high school because they do not accept religion oriented classes as legitimate curriculum. And without the required classes, the students are being denied admission. They are crying discrimination.

This from the Washington Post, October 13, 2005:

Bush's approval ratings:
Overall 39%
Whites 45%
Hispanics 36%
Blacks 2%

This is from over a month ago and his rating have since dropped a point or two more. But the question I can not help to ask myself, who are these 45% of white people that approve of Bush. It really is hard for me to understand anyone right now, with all that is happening, who seriously approves of Bush. Make no mistake about it, he will go down as the worst president in modern times (post WWII), and the way he is headed, he will most likely be the worst president ever.

I think there are people that just do not want to admit that they were deceived. They can not bring themselves to admit that their vote and their opinions were wrong. To them I say this, I am sorry, but you were lied to and you were manipulated into believing something that just wasn't so.

Please, for the sake of the country, get over it, and move on.

Right to Privacy ??

This year there have been 47 proposed amendments to the Constitution. Things like: no income tax, no gay marriage, and my personal favorite extending presidential term limits.

Well a new idea making it's rounds, an amendment pertaining to out right to privacy.

Seems like we already have this, at least implicitly, but a specific amendment would not be a bad idea considering the future make-up of the Supreme Court.

I do every single day lately. From Bush claiming "We do not torture", to claiming "Congress looked at the same intelligence I looked at", to claiming "Mission Accomplished". It absolute non-sense and that is a language I do not speak, but wait... a republican speaking a language I do speak:

Now that is a language I can speak, the language of honesty, the language of reason, the language of wisdom. The language essential for a democracy to function as it was designed.

In July US Intelligence 'acquired' a laptop from Iran with all sorts of plans and details about how Iran was trying to develop nuclear weapons.

So we tell Germany, Britain, France, and the International Atomic Energy Agency. Our intelligence refuses to tell anyone where the laptop came from. And guess what, the world is very skeptical of the US intelligence.

Thank you GWB, a country that might actually be obtaining and manufacture nuclear weapons is going to get the benefit of the doubt because you decided lying to the world about a country w/o any nuclear capabilities was more important that our credibility. Fucking Awesome.

Yesterday Frist & Hastert demanded an investigation into the 'black' prisons in Eastern Europe. Not on what is actually going on, but who leaked it. I think in the future I am going to refer to these two as Moe & Curly. So Moe & Curly demand an investigation, presumably because they think some lefty reporter leaked the news. Well according to Lott, it was one of their own:

Trent Lott stunned reporters by declaring that this subject was actually discussed at a Senate Republican luncheon, Republican senators only, last Tuesday the day before the story ran in the Washington Post.

That is a republican fuction, no lefty reporters allowed. Eminem was right, "There must be a circus in town will all these clowns, around". It sucks when they are feeding on us, but when they turn on each other it is comical.
